It's been a while!

So, it's been a while since I updated this, but I figure, it doesn't really matter because I'm pretty sure no one reads it/knows it exists! :)
Lots of updates since April...
First, it's a girl! Rebekah Faith is due to arrive 11/6/09 & so far so good. All of our checkups have been good to this point. Hopefully that trend will continue. My weight gain has started to pick up speed. I had only gained about 6 pounds through week 18 or 19, but at the last checkup at 22-23 weeks...7 more pounds! In 4 weeks! Insanity! But, overall only 13 pounds, so I can't complain yet. Let's just hope the 7 pound trend doesn't continue through the end!
She is definitely moving around now. It's such a strange feeling when you start to feel her move around. I had been able to feel her for a few weeks, but Bryan was not able to. As soon as we got home from vacation in Aruba (a wonderful trip), he was able to feel her move! It was so exciting! Now we can feel & see her move all the time. On a side note, it amazes me that anyone can say that a baby is not alive or a human being in the womb...especially with the proof before my eyes as my belly twitches and wiggles!
The nursery is coming along nicely. Bryan installed a chair rail this past weekend & it looks fantastic! All of the furniture is put together & now all that's left to do is paint! And of course, the little decorating touches. Pictures will certainly be posted when it's all done.
I think that's all for now...now it's time for mommy to eat some lunch! :)

Please don't be a fluke...

My energy is back. At least it's been back for the past 4 days or so. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that it will remain that way. Also a good thing...my appetite is returning!! I actually want to eat a steak for dinner tonight. When I suggested that to Bryan he almost fell off his chair. Poor guy just wants some red meat! An appetite is good. Last doctor's appointment revealed that I had actually lost weight. Where? I'm not sure. My clothes are still getting tighter. :) Belly pictures coming soon!

Due to arrive Nov. 6th...

Well, here we go again...trying out this blog thing. We'll see how long it lasts this time. I think we'll do a little bit better with the soon to be new addition to the family! I figured this might not be a bad way to keep far off family & friends up to date with news on Baby Matthews.

So far so good on the baby front. Baby Matthews' heartbeat was good & strong. 171 beats per minute. As for mommy, over the past 2 days I've actually started to feel human again. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will last! Even if it doesn't, I'm only a few weeks from finishing the 1st trimester & if "they" are right, then hopefully the nausea will go away, or at least lessen. I'm sure that Bryan is looking forward to that...maybe if he's lucky I'll even start cooking again!
